How Voicenotes Made My Day

I'm just sitting in the orchard. The hens are up, they're all fed and watered. I've watered all the plants in our new polytunnel and I've put up the polycube. It's like a miniature polytunnel. It blew away when it was windy one day, so I've been waiting for a calm day to put it up again. So that's set up now and I've just been to check on the cows. Calf number four still hasn't arrived. The other cows are fine. I think they've been having corn and the calves are fine. So there's Toffee was the first, then Nutmeg, and then the last one was a little black calf that we've decided to call Treacle. So they're all a bit food related, but they're all fine. The calves are just lying in the sunshine, just chilling out, and I'm just watching a hawk that has flown from the tree above me before I sat down and it's flown into a tree in the next field, but I can see it from here and it's just sitting there. I see that hawk quite often, so this is obviously its territory.

The plum trees are in blossom, so we're hoping for a really good harvest this year. Last year was okay but not fantastic. The year before was unbelievable, and I've still got jam that I made that year. I think we've still got some plums in the freezer as well. So yeah, another beautiful day. A few daffodils still going strong. It's sunny, it's not too warm, it's just got a nice heat to the day so far, and yeah, just absolutely beautiful blue sky. I'm just hanging about because I'm hoping that Phil might be going to do the sheep soon and I want to go with him because I've not seen the lambs really this time because they're all lambing out in the field.

But what I really wanted just to say was yesterday was quite amazing. I was just looking at my emails and I saw the message from Voicenotes about Product Hunt and I clicked on the link and then I saw my publication mentioned several times, so I giggled and my husband and his guide dog were just about to go out. Bamber stopped because he, I don't know, whenever I laugh he seems to sort of come over and Chris couldn't work out what I was laughing at. Anyway, they went for their walk and came back and he said, "What were you laughing at?" He said, "I could hear you from outside," and so I told him. It might be a small thing to a lot of people, but things like that.

Oh, there's a little bunny rabbit. That's just, oh, and there's some bluebells just behind me. Ah, they've started coming up. Yeah, this is the joys of Voicenotes. Anyway, yeah, I sort of I told him what had happened, but things like that, I don't know, they just make me really happy and I was just so thrilled to see my little publication getting a mention on Voicenotes, so thank you guys. I really appreciated that. It was such a nice thing and yeah, there's a couple of other people have mentioned it in their publications as well, so that was lovely. Yeah, just I was just very happy about that.

So anyway, bluebells. I didn't realize there were some bluebells just here. So they'll be the next thing. So you have your snowdrops tend to come first, then you have your daffodils, and then you start getting hawthorn blossom and tree blossom and then bluebells. So yeah, good job I came and sat here today. So that's lovely and yeah, seen the little bunny. Sometimes if you just sit here, I know I'm talking, but you know if you sit here fairly quietly, there's all sorts of things go on. I've not seen the heron again. I keep looking, but I'm sure he'll come back because there's a pond on the farm and there may still be some fish in there.

So yeah, we shall see. So I'm going to go and see if Phil's around and see if he's going to do the sheep, and hopefully I'll go and tag along. So yeah, thanks to everybody who's listening.
