Voicenotes Now Has a WhatsApp Integration!

04:27

Very exciting day today. WhatsApp is now integrated with Voice Notes, so I've got mine all set up, I've tested it, it works like a dream. So I'm going to record this for my little mini podcast publication on my phone in WhatsApp and then once it's linked up with voicenotes.com I will share it and publish it.

So it might be a little bit noisy because on one side of me I think one of the neighbours is jet washing one of his motorbikes. He does cross country kind of stuff and my husband is out in the garden with a chainsaw chopping up some wood. But it's all gone quiet for now so that's a good thing.

I've just opened a newsletter from Voice Notes and I was reading it and I was getting very excited about the WhatsApp integration and then suddenly I saw my name and this little mini podcast has got a shout out. So thank you so much to the guys at Voice Notes for that. It was a lovely surprise and these little things do make me extremely happy. So yes, there's a big grin on my face and that was a very nice thing to spot this morning.

So if you're new to my mini podcast, I'm going to be talking about all sorts of stuff. I'm a part-time shepherd. I help out on a friend's farm and we have a small holding there. So we have nine hens and a cockerel but he has sheep and although I was a massive fan of cows and I still am, it was really the sheep that got me interested and I just wanted to get involved. I wanted to lamb.

So last year for the first time I got involved with lambing and this year in January I delivered about seven or eight lambs and I helped with the others. Those were the only ones that needed help. But we start again middle of April. Phil the farmer reckons it's going to be about the 12th. So I'm looking forward to that because I'm hoping to document some of it here on Voice Notes so that I can actually share with you in real time what's happening and talk you through what I'm doing, tell you about some of the lambs, some of the deliveries, some of the things that I've learned.

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but I have learned a lot over the past couple of years. I've done three lots of lambing so far. April will be my fourth and I'm just very excited to be able to share that in real time.

At the moment on the farm we've got four cows. Two of them have just delivered calves and I've given them names. So the first one I've called Toffee and the second one is called Nutmeg. Phil the farmer always tells me don't name animals but I do. I don't name all the sheep, only the ones that I have some sort of connection with. But there'll only be four calves so I like to name them.

So we've got two more still due. I thought one of the mums might have delivered today. She was sort of looking like she was thinking about it but there were no other signs. So whether there'll be a third calf when I go back to the farm later, I don't know. But yeah, very exciting stuff and I absolutely love every minute of it.

So thanks for listening. As I said this is recorded on WhatsApp and integrated with Voice Notes. So I shall finish this and then I shall hit publish.
